Diana Camera Deluxe Kit

Please?

You know when you have that "I NEED this" feeling in your stomach and mind forcing you to purchase something without really thinking about it, but you know that it is the right thing to do? (No? Just me?) Well, this is just one of those things that give me all those feelings ...

Look!

What a great set and piece of kit to own, seriously! Some of the photographs you get from these beasts of cameras are just wonderful. They have a sort of old school inspiring feel to them, really.
I would really like to get my hands on this particular box set. Speaking of all things great in the photography world, my brother introduced me to the "Vignette" app on his Samsung phone, how cool is that! Shame a Nokia can't be as cool as to have this in there app store. Boo. If you can download it, you so should download it. If you do so, send me some of the photographs you manage to take on it!

If you are a fan of Diana photography, why not share some of your photographs here, on "An Actors Blog" Leave me a comment and I will happily display them for you through out my posts.

Re - Shine

Re-Shine

Did you come to see 'SHINE' at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton in May 2008, if not why not?

Well the chance has come to see it again. Yes that's right we have taken it away let it rest for 3years and are now releasing it as RE-SHINE'.

Lyndon Flavell, the oragniser of "Re-Shine" had this to say about the concert:

I have decided to run the show again as it was such a big sucess last time and raised enough money to buy a valuable diagnostic needle for the early detection of breast cancer. It was also the last show in which my wife Lindsay Flavell performed, choreographed and directed. Unfortunately she lost her battle to cancer in January 2009 after trying to beat it for 2 and half years.

I have spent the last 12 months running, cycling and swimming with her battle as my inspiration to raise money for breast cancer charities and 'RE-SHINE' felt to me to be best way to celebrate the end of this year.

The show is a collection of songs from modern popular musicals with some other favourites added for good measure. It will be performed at The Mill Theatre, Dormston Centre, Sedgley at 7.30pm on 11th June and 2pm on 12th June. If you would like tickets please do not hesitate to contact me back or

tel: 07527395161 or 01902336391
email: strwbrygrlprdctn@aol.com
If you are local to this performance, please come along and show your support. It would be really great to see as many familiar faces there as possible.

Songs For A New World

Wolverhampton University PerformanceSongs For A New World

Last night I took a trip to the "Crescent Theatre" in Birmingham to watch Wolverhampton University (Dudley based) Musical Theatre students perform the hit musical "Songs For A New World."
Staged in the basement studio space of the "Crescent" the students really set the tone and atmosphere for the style of performance they were about to deliver.
After a day at work and a slightly boring train journey I really wasn't that much up for a Theatre trip, I have got to be honest. But, as soon as those guys sang their opening number I was instantly engaged and suddenly the grunting man on the train along with the smelly toilet had disappeared clean out of my head and I was just transfixed on their show.
Overall, it was a wonderful evening full of outstanding vocals and really cleverly executed choreography.
The students should be very proud of themselves especially after receiving a full standing ovation. One of which they totally deserved. Totally.
It was money well spent and to be honest I would have happily paid more. Weldone folks!

A Dream Of Mine ...

It is true, we all wake up in the morning with some sort of spur of motivation motivating us to do what we really want to do, to have what really want and to be what we really want to be. That is untill about lunch time and your morning at work has been tough, your staring at your soggy tuna and cucumber sandwich and you slowly become to realise that perhaps that dream just may not happen.
Do you ever get that? Yeh, though as much. Well if you want something enough and work hard for it, you will get it. Or so they tell me ;-)
Well if that little saying is true then, one day, preferably some time next year one of these beauties below will be mine! Seriously it is a really desire of mine to own either a Lambretta or a vespa. It would feel champion turning up for work on one of these bad boys with a bit of Union Jack helmet going on.

Little beauties.
So here is a question for you ... What's the one thing you long to have, own or do? Let's see if anyone desires the same thing.
On that note. When we were younger, we went to go and see Santa (My brother, sister and I) and Santa asked my brother "What would you like for christmas then?" and my brother looked up at him, all young and innocent, he replied "Sausage, egga, chips and beans please!"

And So I Return ...

That's right folks I have returned to the world of Blogging and boy am I back with vengence! After a long break from "An Actors Blog ..." I have decided to continue to share my journey with you all. Yay! (Hope it's a good thing)
It's a little odd really being back. I have sort of fallen out of sync with everything. Forgotten how the old Blogspot works. Not to worry. I am sure the swing of things will return pretty soon.
So ... Wondering what I have been up to? Yup? ... And me, ha! You know, I really am having to think about it!
I thought I would put together a little photograph run of my time since my last formal post in September!
So here we go!
(Please click on images to enlarge them)

"Boogie Nights" with SSMTC went down really well last October at "The Grand Theatre" in Wolverhampton. It received some really wonderful reviews!

I directed "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" for "Screaminvoice Youth Theatre" in December. It was performed at the "ARENA Theatre" in Wolverhampton with a total of 7 performances.

I had a smashing Christmas with my Friends and Family.

Newyears Celebrations were wonderful resulting in a wonderful trip to Cockney Land (LDN).

I ran and directed a half term youth theatre project at Bloxich Library Theatre. Resulting in a performance of "Techno Tina and Other Terrible Tales."

I became a Box Office and Front Of House Assistant at "The ARENA Theatre" in Wolverhampton. A truley wonderful job.

I dabbled in a bit of hair modelling for Royston Blythe thanks to Emily Faulkner who was lucky enough to win her competition with this hair cut.

I was invited by "Last Fancies" to help them with their production of "Death Of Georgia B" by playing Georgia B.

Not forgetting a good old Royal Wedding!

So overall a wonderful time spent keeping busy! Why not share with me what you have been up to in these past few months? Post some photographs. Anything really great happen to you recently? If so share it! I hope you all had a wicked past few months as well.
